The Pepperl + Fuchs Inductive Proximity Sensor model NBN5-F7-E2 is a PNP-type sensor with a normally open switching function. It has a rated operating distance of 5mm and is installed in a non-flush manner. The output polarity is DC and the assured operating distance is between 0 to 4.05mm. The sensor has a reduction factor of 0.3 for aluminum, 0.2 for copper, and 0.7 for 304 steel.
The operating voltage ranges from 10 to 30 V DC, with a switching frequency of 0 to 500 Hz and a hysteresis of typically 5%. The ambient temperature ranges from -25 to 70 °C and the sensor is connected through a PVC cable that is 2m long. The housing and sensing face is made of PBT and it has an IP67 degree of protection.
